SENSEUI QUESTIONS

What is War? What is Love? What is Impact?
What is Love? Baby don't hurt me.. No more...
On a serious note, to appease the masses, MighyMike has decided to release two major editions of his 6.5 ROM for the Touch Pro2. One is called Project WAR, and the other is known as Project LOVE.
The biggest difference between the two is that Project WAR will include Manila 2.5 (AKA HTC Sense for HD2/Leo) which includes the enhanced version of TF3D, while LOVE will include Windows Mobile 6.5.3, which includes the start menu at the BOTTOM, an enhanced UI, and other unsupported features
Please note NEITHER of these ROMS are offered support by MightyMike, though he takes great skill and care into cooking them, they are served as-is with a waiver at the door! Choose them and try the unstability if you dare
MightyROM's PROJECT IMPACT project is a joint combination of 6.5.x and HTC Sense UI 2.5. As a result, it is also the most unstable of his releases, this one is very similar to that of the "Energy" ROM testbed with 6.5.3

What is SenseUI?
Manila, or Touch FLO3D, or HTC SenseUI, is a series of today screen replacements released by the creator of the Touch Pro2, HTC. However, the Touch Pro2 features Manila 2.1, a advanced and commonly seen version of the replacement. It features a lot of standard features and is on the other TP2 MightyROM edition, and stock devices.
The new one, extracted from the HTC Leo (Another HTC WVGA device) and is intended to replace the 2.1 version. The problem however is that the Leo has twice the MHZ and an extra 128MB of RAM! As a result, there are some problems with SenseUI.

What kind of problems are within The SenseUI?
EDITED. The latest MightyROM build NO LONGER needs the Landscape fix. To add, it is CDMA default compatible with landscape. Please enjoy, as now there are no longer any issues with landscape on the sense UI!

Can I add this to Manila? Can I remove this from Manila?
Probably not. Manila 2.5 is very delicate. As a result, a lot of modifications are impossible due to restrictions of the manila. For example, one cannot add a certain tab to one manila, and perhaps remove a certain feature to another. As a result you can try to edit your manila files at your own risk, but be warned it probably will not work

WINDOWS MOBILE 6.5.3 QUESTIONS

Why the new look?
The new graphical design for 6.5.3 is revolutionary for the device. it focuses on a more finger friendly environment, taking advantage of the extra space on the screen for WVGA devices. Though a little slowly, less compatible, and more buggy then past OSes released by MightyMike, it is his attempt to offer you the 6.5.3 series from him in direct.

OTHER QUESTIONS

Why MightyROM?
Specifically. It depends on what you want. If you want a ROM that has every single feature imaginable combined into a single package, then you should consider EnergyROM. If you want a pretty stable ROM, try Juicy, but based on experience, MightyROM takes the cake. It does 2.5, it does it less buggy than the other releases out there, and most importantly, it uses less memory and processing power. I'd average 60% on a Juicy R6 ROM, but MightyROM WAR uses just 40%.

Why Bother?
Although Mighty Mike made these ROMS out of a mixture of popular demand and such, he also made them for his personal experimentation. It is backwardly for a developer to refuse on investing time to experiment with the up and coming new software to use on the devices. Over time, this day had to come. Mike is just shelling out the ROMS now, trying to learn about the ROM and find out its pros and cons. Who knows, perhaps he, along with the other experimental developers, could find an interesting bug or fix that could help us revolutionize into a new age of 6.5.5 and 2.5 Manila ROMS with much better stability than now**Thanks to Ziggy and CuzinBucksBx**

yea its for the TP2... also i have flashed and really really liking it,... the only issue i have so far which is minor is i cant send pic mail mail. I know on previous mighty ROM 6.5 you can install Acromms and configure the MMS network settings to your carrier. For example, Sprint is sprinpcs.mms.xxxx. etc. On this version of 6.5.3, MMS is built in . For example when you go to send a pic mail, all you need to do is open the messaging app, select a user (contact), then there is a tab to attach pic messaging, video, contacts, etc. Once selected and attempt to click send, it will notify you and tell you sending but will eventually time out and see error and cannot send. If anyone has a fix, please feel free to share.

I am extremely amazed on the response this ROM has. MightyMike seems to never surprise me. Another great job!

Ok I got MMS to work with this! I followed the first two steps described aboove for disabling htc messaging and installing the fix (which has a different name than the one listed in the juicy thread).

But it didn't work until I installed the arcsoft MMS cab. I then soft reset and tested, it went through with no problems! So for VZ users a 3rd step should probably be added to the instructions. And here's the arcsoft cab I used for your convenience.

ROCKS!!!! The only eye candy difference is the 16 shortcuts on the home screen instead of 9. and if you assign a contact to the shortcut, you can't select "view contact" because it opens the contact editor. but aside from that its' rock solid.

i am using love 12/13/09 today's version, and it seems like the within the phone menu, the contact icons does say OK Con.....

is it just me or someone else too

Flashed it and loving it! Runs great and haven't seen any bugs yet. Only thing with the mms fix is that you have to open your inbox to see messages. A minor inconvenience considering that it's working. Other than that works great like a mighty mike rom does

Hey all, just wanted to say keep up the great work all you guys are doing with the roms. I just installed Mighty's rom and its really nice and all, so far its stable and very responsive, only problem im having right now is landscape, when i open to landscape it cuts the background in half and it doesnt show the option to scroll through the apps or anything else. not sure if anybody is getting the same issue.

I assume you flashed the war rom? Landscape is not supported out the door you have to install the items above in the original thread " Landscape Fix" even then I am pretty sure that it has not been perfected so there will still be some issues with it. I suggest if landscape is that important to you use the Love rom.

for me landscape isn't an issue. it is supported in sms/mms, email, and web so it's all good.

others might take issue with no landscape, but keep in mind this version is for a phone (HTC Leo) which doesn't have a slide out keyboard. some over at XDA are working on fix but i'll take a pass til it's ready.

'im going to try the love version since i feel that it will be the most stable and like mighty past which i feel are the best out for the tp2.... videos on all three will be up by tomorrow night

don't forget to change the sms folder in the registry to sms.htc first and soft reset.
goto. hklm/system/inbox/externalaccount/sms and change sms to SMS.htc

i attached the sprint mms fix for you to this post. you will need to run this AFTER you have ran the carrier provisioning file in the rom.

ok....flashed WAR 12-16 and for some reason i can't see my pics when i send/receive a mms. For example, I create a new mms and when it asks to select my pic, all I see is a bunch of generic icons like it can't display them. I saw the same thing in a mms a friend sent to me. Anyone else having that problem?

i went off the love erom as well since the screen didnt always rotate when sliding the keyboard in if ever... it also had some driver issues with the scroll bar for touchflo and seemed to glitch out by the home and people tab not allowing you to get to the other without attempting 2-3 times. i gave silencerom a shot and loving it so far! very smooth and if it keeps up like this will be added to complete my top 3 roms for the touch pro 2 alongside mightyrom and mr.x

Man im having the same issues with love rom it does not rotate after text and i have to push the end key to get it to homescreen now i have to find another rom that is going to rotate and have great pic mail like this one lol man flashing can be trouble

hahaha yes it can but you had to expect it to be buggy since is a beta build of wm 6.5.3 which is known to have its fair share of bugs.... i was just bored and wanted to try them out and make videos of them for mightymike while testing.... (those will be coming tonight or tomorrow by around 2 eastern or so but most likely tonight)

Well mostly everything that i try put that is beta comes out to be pretty good i guess om going to download silence rom asap
